About Louise Sedgman Equine Photography

Hi and welcome, thanks for stopping by.

I’m a mum of two beautiful girls, a wife, a business woman, a daughter, a horsewoman and all-round creative, living in Drouin, Victoria. I  could draw horses before I could write my name and I got my first pony at age 5 and I’ve had horses in my life ever since. Art and horses has been a passion all my life and I used to draw them in pastel before i picked up a camera. My mum bought my first SLR when I was in my early 20’s so I could take my own images to draw. Let’s just say I completely fell in LOVE with photography! I’ve spent the last 3 decades or so building my skills and perfecting my craft to become who I am today.

My favorite thing in the whole world is photographing horses! Their shape, contours, textures, sensual lines and the way they move completely captivate me. I also love to capture the connection horses have with their people with beautiful, emotional portraits that really capture the connection and relationship between horse and human. I also love real photographs. Photos that will be around long after we are gone. Beautiful photographs that can be handed down as family heirlooms for generations. That’s what photography is all about. A photograph, a moment in time. Imagine our life and our history without them? Having beautiful memories in the form of photographic art, is what I specialize in for my clients.
