Equine Portraiture – You and your horse

Horses are the love of your life, right? Mine too! I have eat, slept and breathed them since I was born, just like you.  Sadly I only have a handful of photos of my beautiful heart horse, who I lost a long time ago. I never wanted anyone else to feel that way, so now I make sure you never have too, by creating the most beautiful, heartfelt portraits of your horse and you and your horse. Imagine having that love and connection immortalized in a beautiful and meaningful photo experience, where you connect and I capture that incredible relationship you both have.

Whether it’s capturing your horse on their own at liberty, the special love a pony has for their child, or your heart horse with you, these photos will come to be some of your most treasured possessions. A permanent reminder of how special they are to you!

Your Photo Experience
Your beautiful equine portrait photo experience happens at your home, or we can head out on location somewhere that’s special to you. The beach, the bush, anywhere you want. But your place is wonderful, it’s your home, where your favorite memories are and the moments we capture will be just that much more special.

I will take a collection of classic portraits of your horse, either in-hand, at liberty or both, then will help you to create beautiful, special moments with your horse for us to capture. It’s fun, it’s relaxed and best of all, you’ll be spending quality time with your best friend. I know you’ll have nerves if you choose to be photographed; everyone does. But I can promise you, 5 minutes after we start, they will be gone. I’ve had many years of experience working with horses and their people just like you, and I know how to make you feel comfortable in front of my lens so you can relax and enjoy the moment. If it’s your kids and their ponies having this experience, I can promise you it’s fun for all of us!

I can help you with what to wear, and having a couple of different outfits available on the day gives you the opportunity to look and feel amazing, wearing what you love. There is time for a wardrobe change, so if you want to wear that special dress, but love your favorite jeans and shirt too, no problem.

I encourage other family members to join us if you want too, including the family dog. While I’m at your place, we might as well take advantage and create some special family memories too?

A week or so after your photo experience, you will come to my studio in Drouin, where I will have a selection, usually around 25 to 30 images, to show you on the big screen, although that number does depend on how many people and horses are involved. Or… we can catch up via live zoom call if you’re long-distance and can’t get into the studio.

Cost to you

Your beautiful photo experience with me is just $200. This session fee includes your photo experience, travel (within 50klm of Drouin, Vic), and your cinematic-style photo reveal and purchasing appointment in my Drouin studio or via zoom. (Additional fees may apply for long-distance/interstate/international travel etc.)

Photographs are additional, with gorgeous heirloom printed photographs starting at $378. Beautiful wall art frames or canvases from $638 and packages from $1778. There is also a range of desktop art and albums available. The average client spend is between 2.5 and 5k but you can spend as little as a few hundred dollars, or as much as you like. That’s all up to you. There’s also an easy payment plan option available to make life a little easier.

While printed art work is my specialty, I understand you would like your photos digitally for sharing on your socials, so every printed photo purchased, comes with the corresponding digital file for sharing as my special gift to you.

The only thing you need to think about on the day of your special photo experience is having an extra person to help take a bit of the pressure off you. They can hold your horse when needed, help you to relax and make it even more fun. A best friend is perfect for that 🙂
