Set in the enchanting forest surrounds of Narbethong and the Black Spur, this immersive retreat is more than a photography masterclass…it’s a shared journey into the heart of portraiture, storytelling and artistic growth! Over four unforgettable days and nights, you’ll be welcomed into a cosy, supportive community of like-minded women, learn hands-on from every step of the shoot process, and forge friendships as deep and rich as the winter hues around us. From styled outdoor sessions and fine art portrait shoots to in-depth editing guidance and evenings by the wood heater with a glass of wine in hand, this retreat invites you to create, connect, and be inspired in every moment.

This workshop is designed to cater for what you would like to learn about portraiture and equine photography.

Be part of behind-the-scenes while creating incredible photographs.  Do you want to know how ideas come together? Let me show you what goes into the planning process and how to pull off an epic photo shoot creation as well as capture your own amazing photos from the experience.  I’m giving you the opportunity over three fabulous days, to be a part of it all.  The why, the how and everything in between, over four unique, creative and inspiring photography sessions, plus a deep-dive session into the editing process.

You will be a part of the whole shoot process and will recieve detailed insight into posing, lighting, location scouting and working with people and animals as well as editing to bring out the final magic in your photographs. The individual workshops will include outdoor styled portrait sessions in natural and introduced light. A fine art shoot  to explore studio style photography, as well as an editing session sharing everything from workflow and  file management to using Photoshop and Lightroom to add that final polish to your images.

This masterclass is limited to only eight ladies twin-share. Guaranteed to be a personal, educational and meaningful experience. There will be the opportunity for you to request what you would like to learn about and I will be available for the entire workshop to assist you. We will share meals together and stay in the comfort of the beautiful Saladin Lodge together.     

We will be staying in the stunningly beautiful town of Narbethong in the Yarra Ranges, Victoria at the gorgeous Saladin Lodge. With time spent totally immersed in the Australian bush, in all its wintery splendour, to then retreat back into the comfort by the wood heaters, on the cosy couchs with maybe even a glass of wine.

Skill Level required…

This masterclass will take your portrait photography to the next level and is perfect, whether you shoot on auto, use one of your camera modes or fully manual, but having an understanding of the camera basics such as the exposure triangle are recommended. You should also have an understanding of the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to some degree (this is only relevant if you wish to actively participate in the editing component of the Masterclass. Alternatively, you can just watch and learn)

What’s Included in your workshop…

Three days (four nights) exclusive accommodation (twin share room stay in large rooms with individual beds. All rooms with En-suites and no bunks) at the beautiful Saladin Lodge in Narbethong, Victoria, Australia. Linen and towells are all supplied.

Cost…

$3100 per person, twin share, for the full workshop experience. (No other options, such as attending for one day, are available) with a $100 non-refundable deposit payable when booking and the balance of $3000 payable one week prior to our workshop. (An invoice will be emailed to you)
