Thank you for choosing to join a Louise Sedgman Photography Masterclass.

My goal is to provide an exceptional photography experience in one of the world’s most beautiful locations. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure everyone understands their responsibilities so that we can all enjoy a safe, enjoyable and inspiring experience together.

By paying your booking fee or deposit, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking Your Place

Your booking is confirmed once:

• Your completed registration form has been received.
• Your non-refundable booking fee has been paid.
• Louise Sedgman Photography has accepted your booking.

Places are strictly limited and are allocated in order of payment received.

2. Deposit & Payments

A non-refundable booking fee of $1500 per person is required to reserve your place.

The second non-refundable deposit of $2000 is payable within 90 days of the workshop commencing.

The third non-refundable deposit of $2000 is payable within 60 days of the workshop commencing.

The remaining non-refundable balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to departure.

Failure to make payments by the due dates may result in your place being cancelled.

3. Cancellation by You

If you cancel:

More than 120 days before departure

Your payments (excluding the booking fee) may be refunded if your place can be filled.

90–120 days before departure

Your payments (excluding the booking fee) may be refunded if your place can be filled.

Less than 90 days before departure

No refund will normally be available unless your place can be filled by another participant.

If your place is resold, any refund will be less any unrecoverable costs already incurred.

Cancellation or Postponement by Louise Sedgman Photography

Louise Sedgman Photography reserves the right to cancel or postpone a workshop due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to serious illness or injury, family emergency, natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, political instability, pandemics, supplier failure, safety concerns, or insufficient participant numbers.

Should a workshop be cancelled or postponed, participants will be offered the option to:

• Transfer their booking to a future workshop (where available); or
• Receive any refunds or credits that Louise Sedgman Photography is able to recover from third-party suppliers.

Participants acknowledge that workshop fees are used to secure accommodation, transport, venues, guides and other services well before the workshop commences. Many of these arrangements are non-refundable.

Accordingly, Louise Sedgman Photography cannot guarantee a full refund if the workshop is cancelled after payments have been made to third-party suppliers. Any recoverable funds will be returned to participants as soon as practicable.

Louise Sedgman Photography is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants, including flights, travel insurance, passport or visa costs, equipment hire, meals and drinks not included in the itinerary, or other personal expenses.

Comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover is a mandatory condition of booking.

5. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory.

Your policy should include cover for:

• Trip cancellation
• Medical expenses
• Personal liability
• Camera equipment
• Theft
• Flight delays
• Weather disruptions

Proof of insurance will be requested prior to departure.

6. Passport & Travel Documents

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have:

• A valid passport
• Any required visas
• Necessary travel documentation
• Entry requirements for New Zealand

Louise Sedgman Photography accepts no responsibility for travel disruptions caused by incomplete documentation.

7. Fitness & Health

Photography workshops involve:

• Walking on uneven terrain

• Working with animals including dogs, horses, cats and birds.

• Early mornings
• Long days
• Carrying camera equipment
• Climbing steps, hills or rocky areas
• Variable weather conditions

Participants must ensure they are physically capable of participating.

Please advise Louise prior to booking if you have any medical conditions or mobility concerns so we can discuss whether the workshop is suitable.

8. Photography Experience

This workshop is suitable for photographers with varying experience levels.

Participants are expected to:

• Bring suitable camera equipment
• Be willing to learn
• Respect other participants
• Follow tuition and safety instructions

Louise Sedgman Photography cannot guarantee individual photographic results.

Every participant learns differently and outcomes depend on individual skill, effort and weather conditions.

9. Camera Equipment

Participants are entirely responsible for their own:

• Cameras
• Lenses
• Memory cards
• Batteries
• Chargers
• Computers
• Accessories

Louise Sedgman Photography is not liable for loss, theft or damage to equipment.

10. Workshop Itinerary

Photography depends heavily on weather, animal behaviour and available light.

For this reason Louise reserves the right to alter:

• Shoot locations
• Times
• Accommodation
• Models
• Activities
• Daily schedule

without prior notice if necessary to provide the best possible experience or maintain safety.

11. Group Conduct

To ensure everyone enjoys the experience, participants agree to:

• Treat everyone respectfully.

• Photograph respectfully and courteously.
• Follow safety instructions.
• Be punctual.
• Respect private property.
• Respect wildlife and all animals.
• Support fellow participants.
• Drink alcohol responsibly – (Not Supplied)

Louise reserves the right to remove anyone behaving aggressively, disrespectfully or in a way that negatively affects the group.

No refund will be provided in these circumstances.

12. Accommodation

Accommodation is based on single rooms unless otherwise specified.

Any damage caused by participants is their responsibility.

13. Meals

Meals included in the itinerary are provided.

Participants are responsible for advising of dietary requirements well before departure.

While every effort is made to accommodate dietary needs, Louise cannot guarantee every request can be met.

Alcohol is not included in the workshop.

14. Weather

Photography is weather dependent.

Rain, fog, wind and changing conditions are often part of creating beautiful photographs.

The workshop will proceed in most weather conditions unless safety becomes an issue.

No refunds will be provided due to weather.

15. Image Use

Participants retain copyright of photographs they personally create.

By participating, you grant Louise Sedgman Photography permission to photograph or film the workshop for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please advise Louise before the workshop begins.

Participants agree not to use images for commercial and/or promotional purposes unless separate permission has been granted.

16. Liability

Photography workshops involve travel and outdoor activities.

Participants acknowledge that they participate entirely at their own risk.

Louise Sedgman Photography is not liable for:

• Injury
• Illness
• Loss or theft
• Equipment damage
• Flight disruptions
• Accommodation changes
• Acts of nature
• Government restrictions
• Third-party suppliers

except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

17. Force Majeure

Louise Sedgman Photography is not responsible for delays, cancellations or alterations resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, industrial action, civil unrest or government restrictions.

18. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for administering your booking and communicating with you regarding your workshop.

Your information will never be sold or shared except where required to deliver the workshop.

By paying your booking fee you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
